• Tribler Orpett & Meyer has been retained by the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America and the Reinsurance Association of America to file an amicus brief in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The brief, drafted by Mitchell Orpett and John Wickert, supports a challenge to a district court ruling that ordered the disclosure of privileged documents shared by an insurer with its reinsurers.

• The Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession has invited Bill Oberts to speak at its two-day forum about Professionalism in the Practice: Toward a More Inclusive Legal Profession on March 4-5, 2010.

• Bill Oberts has developed a bi-monthly video webcast series with Thompson Reuters which will discuss issues often confronted by young lawyers. The program provides CLE credit to attendees and will be moderated by Bill and other members of the legal community.

• The ABA/TIPS Government Law Committee has appointed Bill Oberts as Vice-Chair for 2008-2009. The Tort Trial and Insurance Practice section of the American Bar Association has made this appointment in clear recognition of Bill's professional abilities and reputation among its 36,000 members.
